i forgot that when i started this blog i actually wanted to post art. then i remembered... like a few seconds ago... so here's a painting i just painted...

it's not that impressive. and a lot of people might not even call it art at all. but i didn't even rly try to make it visually stunning. actually i didn't try to make it anything... i just did it because i wanted to... every time i make art i try to make it... u know... all this and that and stuff. but this time i just painted whatever came to mind. which is actually hard for me. i've always tried to make each piece of art i do perfect. not just like the lines all strait and smooth and stuff. i mean as i painted i was continually questioning what i was doing worrying about ruining the painting. i don't do that when i have a reference of course just when i'm painting from my head. most people have this thing against abstract art... but then again most people are uptight. anyway i think abstract takes a lot of skill. it's not so much about ur ability to manipulate paint than so much to to be bold and fearless letting ur own creativity come out. the only way you could understand it is if u tried it ur self. if you've ever looked at abstract art and said that's not real art, try this... bye a canvas take some paint and paint what ever comes to mind first. let ur impulses guide u completely (that's not as easy as u think.) then when ur done take a pic and post it to facebook clamming that you are an artist and that this is you expressing yourself through art. try it... i dare u... O.O

i'm back. and i've got more ranting to do. isn't that great. i bet you're pumped now. anyway... there's something i wanna say about a lot of christians today. i think that we are so afraid of anything worldly we are starting to look like prisses. the bible tells us to separate our selves from the world. but while we try to keep ourselves pure we've got to be careful of some of the bigger sins that can slip by while our heads are turned. like judging people with a little dirt on their face. i'm sorta a down to earth sorta person, but in my eyes it's better to let our selves get a little dirty and hold on to our ability to love others and accept them for the way they are. really if you think about it, it's not our place to judge anybody. and when i say judge i mean show any kind of unkindness or disapproval. whether it's someone with a couple tattoos or someone living with his girl friend or someone gay. God never appointed us the job of deciding whether someone is worthy of our love or not. of course if they've directly insulted you in some way that's different. XP but even in some ways we've made God out to be someone who is too holy to tolerate looking at sin too long. but that ruins one of the most amazing aspects of God. the fact that he can look past our sin and see us and love us. yes God hates sin, but only because it came along and ruined his amazing peoplez he created. so yeah. i've decided to really work on never making people feel rejected or uncool. every bodys cool in my book :D ... btw, one thing cool about being an artist is that artists are more open minded to new things.

i never know how to start posts. for some reason i always feel like i'm tapping some stranger on the shoulder to tell them about some random thing that they probably don't wanna hear about... weird right? :P oh well... here goes...

hi there random person... wanna hear about a ton of random stuff i've been thinking about lately? one thing I've been thinking about artist... and not artist. and one thing i've discovered about artist is that they can see more in other peoples art than most people. as i've done more and more art i've most definitely noticed a change in the way i see things. my artistic eye as grown so much. it's gone from a scrawny little pipsqueak to a muscular fiendDANGTHISSTUPIDHEADAKE!!!!! ... and know what? there's something this muscular fiend would like to say! abstract art is cool. a lot of modern art is cool. there is a lot of it that's just pretty dum... but not all of it.

here's a piece i found on etsy that i really like. if the artist of this sees this post i really hope you don't mind me copying your art to my blog. so you could say it's boring. or that a three year old could have done it. or that something so simple couldn't be considered real art. after all there's only three colors and there's no complexity to the composition. but you probably didn't say those things... because your not stupid like that. first of all, complexity is over rated. there's a certain beauty in simplicity that so many people fail to see.

and second this is how it would look it a three year old had done it. of course the lines wouldn't have been so strait. but i think you get the point. like the fact that a three year old would not have known that by adding texture you give the eye something to look at and work on so it doesn't just get bored of it right away. actually a three year old wouldn't even know how and what to add. a three year old also wouldn't realize that by adding black around the purple and bottom half of the painting you make the the colors look more bright and intense without making them so intense that they fight with each other and set if all off balance. another way the artist kept that balance was by making the blue section the largest and by taking some of the blue and carrying it to the top around the yellow. doing that made blue the primary color of the painting. now the blue and the yellow don't have to fight for first place. there's also a little bit of purple in the blue... XP also the brightest part of the yellow is in the center and it fades out toward the edges. this give the painting a center point... something that draws you eye. without that there's no depth and your eye doesn't know what to do with it's self. in the three year old example i gave your eye it gets lost in a flat overstimulating plane of color. the the last thing i wanna say about it is that if you look closely there aren't really just three colors. the blue that's above is slightly more green and a little bit brighter than the blue bellow. and the blue bellow has like three different shades in it. you can see a darker blue dripping down from the purple and as it reaches the bottom it grays down a bit. and if you look closely there's even a bit of red in the purple here and there. so if you look from the piece above to the piece bellow you can see that there's a lot more emotion and depth and other good stuff like that in the one above.

this has gotta be one of the best animes out there. especially the second season. it's kinda slow, but i like that about it. it's more of a relaxed thoughtful show than a suspenseful nail biting show. you'd have to watch the show to know what i mean... and finish it.

i haven't been posting as much lately because i can't scan anything. but as soon as i can, i can assure you there will be more bob and anime coming. is it just me or did that sentence feel kinda awkward... awkward is a word that is best said long and drawn out.... I'm not really sure what this is supposed to be... i guess it's sort of abstract. i didn't really start with any kind of idea in mind. i just threw paint at it and it morphed it's self into a creation of it's own design. O.O yikes...

i decided that part of it looked kinda like a guy. so i put a face on it... he's a happy fellow.

i do know what this is. it's a tree... not a mushroom... :P the inside of the tree is actually a painting that i painted over... except for the tree part of course... duh...

she has no face... O.O it's really hard to do detail with paint.

Is there any thing worth drawing other than anime? ... No, i'm serious. I'm getting tired of drawing anime. All i ever draw is anime... and a little steampunk too. But i can never think of anything else. as soon as i sit down to draw something the only thing that enters my head is anime. it's like it comes in and shoves every other creative idea out my left ear. :P Bob is the only thing that's strong enough to resist it's powers. So if you have any ideas on something to draw PLEASE comment and tell me! any thing... ANY THING AT ALLLL!!!! it could be a picture that would make a good reference or an idea for some fantasy scene or a landscape or a person in a pose or a song that inspires a picture in your head or style of drawing or... or... YOU! it could be you. or anything! as long as i like it. chances are i won't like it... so yeah... then i might not draw it. just to warn you...

this is a song I wrote for elisa's birthday. I sounds kinda robotic cuz it's the computer playing it instead of real instruments. And that bit where it get's kinda chaotic toward the middle i actually rewrote but i couldn't save it because the demmo ran out of time. Actually i when through three demos. first i downloaded the free version of finale song writer then when that ran out of time i moved on to finale print music then finale allegro and last of all the 600 dollar finale. but you could save one the demo on that one so i just went ahead and bought finale song writer. :P But i thought that was pretty sneaky but clever of me. :D

I might be getting a full time job for my uncle. I so exited. It would be so nice to make some money. He's a landscaper. For now I'm just doing my Grandma's yard for him thought.

There is an amazing amount of spiders there. I think I'm going to call it spidersville now. no. spideropolis. This wasn't some small town spidersville this was like the big city. And even though there was a lot of spider competition around It must have been a thriving economy because the spiders where all fat and there were webs every where. I couldn't walk 3 steps without running into one. Sometime I wonder if grandma ever looked out her window to see me in one of my fights. I can just imagine her watching me go about my business when I suddenly stop in my tracks and start dancing like a mad thing. Hopping around flailing my body in weird contortions and slapping my self in the face while she thinks, "I always knew that boy was weird but this is too much." It was so easy to run into them too. They would stretch their webs in the most ridiculous spots. These crazy spiders weren't satisfied in making their webs in the back of a bush somewhere. No, they had to be huge webs right in the middle of the deck or somewhere like that. some of their webs where over a foot in diameter and the threads holding them up would sometimes be 3 or 4 feet long. Hey, I had good reason to be creeped out with the size of those things sitting up there posed to strike. They were like a pack of kingkongs compared to the spiders on our property. except when we find a huge hobo somewhere. but mostly the little boys keep our spider population to a minimum... poor things. The crazy thing was that breaking their webs didn't do much because they could make them back in a matter of minutes. I would break up a one so I could get past and then I would come back to find the spider finishing touches on a brand new one. Stupid stupid spider. don't you know that your labor has all been in vain. Say bye bye to your lovely not-so-little home. because here comes the rake. HAHHAHAHAHA die die die. I'm afraid I've badly upset their little establishment. A real tragedy. The hurricane that came through destroying millions of homes and causing millions of spider so much grief. Costing the spider government millions of dollars to try and repair the damage. It may take minutes and minutes to fix what's been done.

Haven't posted in a while. sry. In that post I did on tighten up I said that when our family hears a song we like we play it over and over for months and months and years and decades and centuries and... what comes after that? millenniums. This is the one that probably lasted the longest although Don't Change a Thing lasted pretty long. I like it. It sounds so happy. :D Yeah, I know, the belly dancers are kinda weird. This is the floor of my room. It used to be yucky... and green. Now it is beautiful and brown. I spent all day yesterday painting it... well actually I spent most of yesterday cleaning it and then the rest of the day painting. But it was worth it. The tree actually turned out much better than I thought. Usually when I try something big and cool and permanent like this it just turns out stupid. But it turn out rather well this time. It's not quite finished yet. I'm going to paint a big ball thing under the tree. That's why one of the roots looks disconnected. It's actually going behind the yet-to-be-painted ball. I'm going to do that in black or grey or something though and I don't have that paint right now. so I'll just have to wait. Ignore the pile of stuff with a broom in the background. I have some Sheetrock repair I've got to do.

This is one of Papa's favorite bands. Anyway, we decided to look up some of their music about a week ago. The first song's music video was so weird. It stared out with them getting shot up while playing the song and then a bunch of people ran around throwing up whole eggs. so0o0 yeah it was weird. But then we watched this one and since then we just can't stop looking it up to listen to it. In our house when we find a song we really like we start looking it up every five seconds every day for about, I dunno, like a month. so yeah, this video is our newest victim. It's funny right?
Those too guys are actually the whole band. When I herd this on the radio I didn't think it was done by only two guy.
He's a pretty good singer dude.

blah blah blah... :P I'm trying to get my boaters licence, but I have to do this stupid STUPID study thing. I have to watch these 2 minute videos with happy blue haired people and then take these little tests. But that's not the worst. The lady who talkes through these thing has some serious problems. He voice id so creepy it makes me want to run away screaming and waving my hands in the air. "Early and substantial action." AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH She won;t stop saying that. I've told here to stop so many times. "Early and substantial action." "Early and substantial action." I'm going to have to take early and substantial action and kill something. she just said it again. ... ... ... ... ... and again!!!

She just finished talking about honking your horns to say something. "One honk means, 'I want to pass you an your port side.' and two honks means, ' I want to pass you on your starboard side.' " It just keeps going. "and 31 honks mean, 'I want a cheese burger.' and 32 honks mean, 'I'm going to ram you head on.' " If I ever see someone with blue hair again I'm going yo have to shoot him.

Most of this stuff has to do with common sense. "Where do you tie the anchor: the motor, your wrist" (now there's a bright idea. maybe I'll just tie the thing around my throat.)... I can't remember the right answer, but that's ok. It's the answer that makes sense. :D I'm not even paying much attention to the study videos because so many of the questions are so obvious. Like, "If your approaching a boat head on what do you do?" Well let's see... It's not the option that says, "maintain coarse and speed." The correct answer would be pass the boat on your left (port) side. You do have to pay some atention to the study videos, but they go over every thing twice so I'm not stressing.

The people in these videos are so happy it's slightly creepy. Their always grinning their ugly little faces off. ... Hey! here's a news flash for you. You may stand sit or kneel on your jet ski!!! wow Who would have guessed? Also, according to this, Small personal boat like jet skis demand the same respect boats do. I did even know any boats need respect. Now she's talking about dumping your... well... let's not go there.

I was taking a walk the other night when I saw the most dreadful sight. Actually I didn't. But I did take a walk. My two sisters, a friend and I were walking around the neighborhood talking about random things, when I noticed every house we passed had strange and colorful flashing lights coming out of the windows. Every single one. It was strange to see house after house sitting dark and still as the occupants sat like dead things staring at the flashing lights. Oblivious of everything going on around them. As they sat there totally engrossed in the nonexistent reality they were intensely watching, we were out on a casual stroll enjoying the fresh night air and having intelligent conversation. They had no idea this lonely groups was wandering the gloomy streets observing them; peering in their open windows. Cartoons, spy shows, action movies, comedies, guitar hero. People have no creativity anymore. The first thing they do when they get home from work is switch on that TV. Reading and hobbies are a thing of the past. Anyway, as I was walking past all those dim homes with those lifeless bodies just staring at those flickering screens, I started thinking (and that's not an easy thing to do, I might add) about how I am so tired of playing xBox with such bad picture. I need a new TV so bad!
